Illustration Friday: Wise
Another quicky for this week’s Illustration Friday topic, it seems like I keep coming back to wise old owls. Click the image to enlarge it.
This is another done almost entirely with the brush pen. The pen keeps getting “hairier” but as long as it still has ink I’m going to keep using it. I really like the soft texture it has now!

fantastic! the brush pen seems to be perfect to picture the structure of the feathers.

Thanks guys! I’m so out of practice with the brush these days, the brushpen is a nice compromise. It’s amazingly good for hair and feathers, once I get past the frustrating “softness” of it compared to my usual Microns. Plus no jar of ink for the cats to knock over… tho it’s no substitute for a good sable brush.
